Wake Up Sleepy Heads

This is what my children look like first thing in the morning! They are so not morning people!! They require at least 15 minutes of just vegging on the couch before they are coherent enough to function!! They're a lot like their daddy. Many mornings you will find them curled up together under a blanket. They really do love each other!!! I think this morning, Franklin was on tv, and as you can see they could have cared less that I was even taking their picture!!!

Monkey See, Monkey Do

For AWANA this year, Rylie had to learn the books of the New Testament. Andrea, Clint and I all learned them to a catchy little song Mom taught us, so when it came time to teach them to her, I thought I'd use the same one. She did GREAT with it. Picked them up in less than a week and has never looked back. Well, little did I know, Walker has been learning them right along with her. I think I can safely say that Walker tries to do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING his big sister does.

Here is his rendition of the New Testament books of the Bible!! He does a great job considering he doesn't speak all that clearly at times and there are some BIG words in the song!!

Valentine's Day

Want to know the BEST way for a Cyclone fan to spend a BEAUTIFUL Saturday? At a Hawkeye Basketball game, of course!!! Matt and I spent Valentine's Day in Iowa City, just the two of us. It was a great weekend away. We saw the Hawkeyes play the most BORING game we've ever been too. You'd think by looking at the final score that it was an exciting one, but don't be decieved. A TOTAL lack of offense made for an awful game to watch!!!

Even though the game was boring, we got to spend the night in Iowa City and enjoyed our supper out at Texas Roadhouse (even if it wasn't until 10 o'clock)! Who knew they would be THAT busy on Valentine's? No big deal, we weren't in a hurry.

So after a great time away, we came home to our sick kiddos (thanks again Mom for keeping them) and enjoyed the rest of our Sunday bumming out at home. It was a GREAT weekend, just what we needed.

Give a Kid a Camera

I guess this is what happens when the kids get a hold of the camera. They take pictures of each other!!! At least they were clean, even if their hair isn't brushed yet! They were straight out of the bath yesterday morning and ready to head to the doctor. They both have been sick for about a week with the crud that is going around everywhere. After three doses of amoxicillin, a couple of nebulizer treatments and multiple doses of Tylenol, they seem to be on the mend. Thank God!!!

I've been tagged!

Nicole tagged me on her 4th pic in her fourth folder. Here is mine!

This was from our trip to the Blank Park Zoo this summer. This is a Kookaburra bird from their aviary. This bird actually bit Walker while we were at the zoo. He still talks about it.

I tag... Kristin at Marketer319s Xanga Site, Paula at Small-town Life, and Amanda at The Lloyd Family.

Have FUN!

Has it really been 2 MONTHS?????

OK, so I really wish I were better at not procrastinating! What does procrastinating get you? 2 whole months with NO updates to the blog. I think Andrea has just realized that if you nag I'll eventually get around to it. You'll have to go onto the next page of posts to see all the new ones, sorry! There's not a whole lot of commentary, but lots of pictures. So, if you get tired of looking at the same old post, just nag, I'll put up something new!!

This was our first time sledding this winter. It was a semi-warm day and we had to take advantage of not having the road sanded yet! You can definitely tell the fog was rolling in!

We attempted our first Gingerbread House this winter! I think it turned out pretty well for being 90% kid designed!!

This was the first good play outside day of the year. Ya, back in December!! The kids wanted to scoop the yard for us. Oh, I wish it were that easy!
